A homeless man who goes by the name of "Jessie" came back to the St. Joseph, MO. cold weather shelter early in the morning bruised and still bleeding. He said local gang members frequent the waterfront where many homeless people sleep to beat them up as an initiation right into the gang. "There were four of them hitting me all over and one of them got me with a brick," he said. "They beat me pretty bad."
